The Yankees on Saturday afternoon in a rather sloppily pitched game that nevertheless only yielded seven total runs. only lasted 5 1/3 innings, striking out an impressive eight while walking three, giving up four hits and two runs courtesy of a Carlos Pena two-run shot.

put 14(!) Yankees on in his 5.1 innings, and yet the Yankees only managed to scratch out three runs. Leading 3-2 heading into the ninth, that appeared to be all they’d need, though Eduardo Nunez knocked in a huge insurance run in the top half of the inning — a run it turned out they’d need, as gave up his first home run of the season, a solo shot to of all people. Fortunately Mo was able to take care of business after an single, picking up a quick double-play and three-pitch strikeout to close things out.

The Yankees will look to pick up the series win tomorrow night on ESPN. Having scored all of five runs through this series’ first two games, I’d expect the offense to finally bust out in a big way against the mediocre in the finale.

It was one of those games where I was prepared to be furious at the Yankees for losing (after squandering so many opportunities), so the win was somewhat anticlimactic. Great work by the bullpen though, I love what Wade and Noesi have brought to the table so far, and D-Rob just keeps doing his thing.

LOL at that fucking Yankees-hating idiot Joe Buck exclaim “TIE GAME!” when Reed Johnson hit a solo shot off Mo which made the score 4-3 Yankees. Wishful thinking, bitch who got his job only cuz Daddy did it.

Btw speaking of Mo, what is his average number of pitches per batter and three outs by year? I’m only guessing both are career highs or among his highest totals.

Joe Buck is an embarrassment to baseball. One wonders when Fox will finally wise up the way ESPN did with Morgan and Miller and finally shitcan the despicable, lifeless Yankee-hating Buck and the clueless McCarver.

    Word, Larry!!!

These two are so unlistenable, I mute the games whenever they are on and sometimes even just listen to most or sometimes all of the game on the radio. The only good thing about these two clowns calling the games is I walk all over NYC while listening to the games on the radio, so I get alot of walking in.
