- Extension talks between and the Yankees have ended, the sides were too far apart. They plan to continue discussions at season’s end, but the Yankees will probably be more apt to playing the market than overpay for Martin.

- We already knew that Pineda planned on devoting his preseason to his changeup, but now we learn that he’ll be under the wing of . Sabathia stated that the most difficult part of throwing a changeup is to have confidence in it when you have other overpowering pitches.

Considering how hard I rode on Gardner when he was in AA and AAA I was proven wrong in spectacular fashion. Ramon Flores in the same light has a very good chance to add value to the Yankees to the MLB team but considering Tex’s role it would be tough for him to make it, but I think he will be better than some people expect.
