If Moe does indeed retire do/should the Yankees just give Robertson the closer job? Or should they have open competition between Soriano, Robertson, Joba, and Hughes if he ends the year in the Pen.
They could go thru an unfair competition next spring, or they could let Joe, with normal counselling, play it by ear. They have all this year to compete and cooperate.
But, no, Mo, say it’s not so. How about semi-retirement, such as work home games only, if you’re tired of travelling? Kinda ease into it, see if you like it first. Nothing like being the living Mo.
