   Don’t thank an imaginary figure, thank the Yankees and Pirates for agreeing to a deal.

   Yankees receive Moreno and Cayones while Pirates pick up $13 million total, according to Jon Heyman. Isn’t $13 million way below what they were originally discussing?

     The original reports were the Pirates were willing to pay 10 million. Overall saving 5 million this year and 8 next year is a pretty good deal. Enough to sign both Ibanez and Chavez this year, and probably enough next to cover most of Martin’s first year of an extension, if they go that route.

   Well it was more like a local nightmare. The rest of the country seemed to enjoy hitting against AJ and not having him pitch for them.
