Yanks Drop Another One To The White Sox, 7-3
So, does anyone else wish that could have gone down to the Minors again this season to straighten himself out?
Just me? Okay, then.
The game started off well when jumped on ‘s first pitch offering and sent it screaming into the left field seats. It was his 12th home run of the season and his 168th hit of the season. He passed Eddie Murray for 11th on the All-Time hit list. And at 3,256 is now 1,000 hits away from ‘s record.
And that was pretty much the best thing about the game.
The Yankees did end up scoring another run off Liriano in the first to make it 2-0 and then couldn’t do anything until the seventh when by that time, the White Sox scored six unanswered runs, the big blow being a grand slam off the bat of in the fifth inning.
Ivan Nova was not good. He gave up six runs on seven hits in six innings of work. He struck out three, walked two and gave up the slam to Youkilis and a solo home run to in the fourth.
, of all people, finished 4-5 and scored a run. and both hit triples – Rios’s was off of Nova and Pierzynski hit his off .
And the Yankee hitter who had the best night was none other than who finished 2-4 with home run and an RBI. He’s still batting under .200, sitting at .196.
Tomorrow the Yankees will look to avoid the sweep with on the mound.

Most poker sites open to US players also provide online casinos accepting USA players. A good example of this is BetOnline.com, where you can play 3D casino games, bet on sports or play poker from anywhere in the United States.

When my beloved Yankees look bad, they look really bad.
Well, at least the Rays didn’t win tonight.
What a game by Hochevar. Too bad he didn’t get the decision.
—So, does anyone else wish that Ivan Nova could have gone down to the Minors again this season to straighten himself out?
Just me? Okay, then.—-
as I’m pretty sure that the rules aren’t flexible about the Yankees having a pitcher starting in each and every game…….. and as we’ve had limited success with Swisher pitching (and don’t want to drive up his value too much) …..
it’s a good idea that just wasn’t all that practical this season…
maybe we’ll be able to demote him twice next season.
Living in the DC area, I continually read (and hear) about the pending “shutdown” of Strasburg, with a 15-5 record and sub-3.00 ERA on the team with baseball’s best record. Too bad the Yankees can’t shut down Nova, who has become this year’s AJ Burnett (who obviously could not pitch in NY, but thrives elsewhere). Pettitte (and Sabathia) better come back soon so Nova can be dropped from the rotation. More than any other pitcher, he has been responsible for the post-All Star swoon that may cost them the division (and playoff circus?).
