Sorry for the lateness of the thread, we had some miscommunications.  The Yankees look to start another winning streak in a rare weekday day game against the Braves.  Feel free to discuss the game, the ungodly heat, and anything else that strikes your fancy.  Let’s go Yankees!

    Its cool no worries. Love how they say “only 1 right handed batter has hit a homer off Hanson.” Jeter first pitch…bang! hahaha

    Not so hot where I live. Southern LI weather keepin me cool. Feels like Cano is disappointing me this year. Balance seems a bit off. Come on Cano your supposed to be an MVP candidate

        I remember him more with his failed stint with the Orioles but I know he made his reputation in Atlanta. Or rather he had 3 amazing pitchers. Im sure he helped but come on. Those 3 would’ve been good no matter who coached em

            Yeah. There would be guys who were mediocre before they got to the Braves, then they’d have a great year or two and sign a free agent contract somewhere else and stink.

    Currently a balmy 93 in our nation’s capital, and supposed to go up to 96. Tomorrow’s supposed to be even hotter. Oh joy.

    As for Hughes, it is frustrating to see him pitch like this after looking so much better of late. Is there a more-scrutinized pitcher on the Yankee staff? I feel like nobody else gets the same level of start-to-start microanalysis that we subject Hughes to.

      Probably not but thats because expectations were so high for him. I think he still has plenty of supporters but I have 0 faith in him. Even when he was going good im just always thinking I wonder when hes going to blow up.

      I don’t have the same view of Nova bc he was supposed to be a 4 or 5 pitcher at best who is slowly making himself out to be more. Hughes was the best pitching prospect on the planet for a bit and has disappointed. hard the get that stench out of my nose.

    Cano seems to be a model of the game of baseball. Sometimes he can hit everything and then he has ABs like to today when it appears he could possibly swing at a pick off move.

    Now down to 3 HRs needed. That’s 3 off Hunter, somethings going on at the stadium…….now Cano……Same # off Hunter as Hughes. I can’t be too hard on Hughes.
