American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.03% lower at 147.73 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Friday.
In North Asia, the gainers were led by advertising company VisionChina Media (VISN), and online retailer LightInTheBox (LITB), which climbed 6% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by coal producer Yanzhou Coal Mining (YZC), higher 3.1%, and electricity provider Korea Electric Power (KEP), up 2.5%.
The decliners in North Asia were led by express delivery company ZTO Express (ZTO), and casino and resort operator Melco Crown Entertainment (MPEL), which fell 1.4% and 0.9% respectively. They were followed by Japanese electronics and ceramics manufacturer Kyocera (KYO), and online game developer The9 (NCTY), which dropped 0.9% each.
In South Asia, the only gainers were WNS Holdings (WNS), a provider of business process management services, and HDFC Bank (HDB), which rose 0.7% and 0.3% respectively.
