Landauer Shares Rise 3%

Landauer shares were higher 3% on Wednesday as the company said it has appointed shareholder Gilead Capital’s chief investment officer and managing partner Jeffrey Strong to its board, expanding it to ten from previously nine.

In return, Gilead, which owns 5% of the firm’s outstanding shares, has agreed to withdraw its slate of director nominees for election at the company’s 2017 annual meeting and to vote for all of Landauer’s nominees.

The provider of technical and analytical services to determine occupational and environmental radiation exposure said it has also agreed to appoint a new independent director, mutually agreeable with Gilead, at the 2018 annual meeting.
