Asian ADRs Move Higher in Wednesday Trading

American depository receipts of Asian stocks were trading 0.47% higher at 144.57 on the Bank of New York Mellon Asia ADR Index on Wednesday
.
In North Asia, the gainers were led by telecommunications firm China Unicom (CHU), and airline operator China Eastern Airlines (CEA), which rose 7% and 3.9% respectively. They were followed by online game developer The9 (NCTY), up 3.1%, and Kingtone Wirelessinfo Solution (KONE), a provider of mobile enterprise solutions, higher 3% .

The decliners in North Asia were led by travel company Tuniu Corp (TOUR), which fell 3.5%, followed by aluminum producer Aluminum Corporation of China (ACH), lower 3.3%, and coal mining company Yanzhou Coal Mining (YZC), off 3.2%. Solar park operator Sky Solar Holdings (SKYS) was down 3%.

In South Asia, the gainers were led by ICICI Bank (IBN), and natural resources company Vedanta (VEDL), which climbed 4.5% and 1.6% respectively. They were followed by HDFC Bank (HDB), higher 1.3%, and automobile manufacturer Tata Motors (TTM), up 0.7%.
